Day 2 - Boat transfer to your camp

After a breakfast at the hotel you will be shuttled to the harbour where a small 12-person boat will be waiting. The boat cruises east deep into the Nuuk fjord. On the way to the camp the boat will stop, letting you get the thrilling experience of standing on an ice flake. You will be dressed in an arctic survival suits. After this experience, sail further into the most productive glacier in our region before heading for the camp, sailing close by high peaks, waterfalls and small bays.

At the camp our chef prepares a nice lunch, which is followed by an arctic safety briefing. You will be taken for a light afternoon hike in the wonderful surroundings.

The day is finished off with a dinner in the camp.

Day 3 - Hike to the top of Mt. Kinaussak for a picnic lunch overlooking the the entire fjord system

After breakfast in the camp, we will leave and embark in a closed boat. The boat will take us to the foot of Kinaussak, the highest peak in the entire Nuuk fjord region. You will hike to the top (1600 metres) and have a lunch picnic with scenic views over the entire fjord system.

Hiking back to the sea, you will return by boat to the camp to enjoy a well deserved dinner.

Day 4 - Visit the small Greenlandic settlement, Kapisillit and try your hand at catching Arctic Char

After breakfast in the camp, sail to the Kapisillit area, home to the only Greenlandic Salmon breeding spot. Here we will be introduced to fishing with both a traditional rod but also bare hand techniques – it’s a guaranteed memorable fishing experience – catching Arctic Char.

On location, the chef will prepare the caught fish in various styles for lunch.

From the fishing and dining spot we will walk to the settlement of Kapisillit. With 68 inhabitants, one shop, a school and a church the settlement is a typical example of a Greenlandic village. You will have opportunity to explore this small village, visiting the locals and walking the length of this tiny settlement.

The boat will pick you up and return to the camp.

Day 5 - Kayaking around the icebergs

Today, the boat takes you deep into the ice fjord. After a thorough introduction to kayaking, you will hit the fjord in your own kayak and paddle among the ice.

After getting back to shore, the chef will have a nice lunch ready for you. Then sail towards a stunning valley and fell area. Here the planned hike will let you not only see beautiful nature but most likely also wildlife such as reindeers and maybe musk ox.

Day 6 - Helicopter flight to the icecap, then visit Norse ruins and try you luck at halibut and red snapper fishing

After breakfast in the camp, you will be collected by a helicopter, which will whisk you up to the Greenland icecap. Here the helicopter will land, leaving you with plenty of time and opportunity for wonderful pictures and views.

From there the helicopter will take you to an area with Norse ruins. Among the ruins our chef will offer lunch as always - prepared on site. After the exploration the boat awaits and takes you to brilliant deep water angling spots. Here you will get opportunities to catch large cod, red snapper and on the lower spots even the impressive halibut.

The boat will return to the camp with the catch, which the chef will turn into a tasty dinner.

Day 7 - Whale Safari among the icebergs and then return to Nuuk

After breakfast in the camp, you will leave the camp by boat and cruise in the western section of the Nuuk fjord on the lookout for whales. The boat will reach the scenic Qooqqut bay where a small isolated restaurant is located only accessible by air or sea. Here, enjoy a delicious lunch, prepared by the restaurant chef, enjoying the beautiful view from the restaurant's panoramic location.

After lunch our boat will continue westerly in the fjord system, pass through a beautiful closed archipelago system and reach the abandoned settlement of Kangeq. Here you will leave the boat to explore the settlement to get a closer look and learn the history of the settlements. After this exploration, head for Nuuk.
